Derakim is the Hebrew word for "ways". The ways of God (Exodus 34:6, Psalm 103:8) are what we want to proclaim through acts of compassion and intensive Christian discipleship. It is the heartbeat of what we do, and all other programs (economic development, orphan care, etc.) flow from this truth.

The Trapps moved to the University town of Manhattan Kansas in 2015 to lead the international ministry of Derakim. Their plan was to build up partners around the world through discipleship training and economic development. What they didn’t foresee was the stream of university students that would be entering their lives. This led them to alter their plans and develop an intensive discipleship program in Manhattan, which prepares young people to fulfill The Great Commission (you will meet several here).
